Employees in this role are expected to model professionalism, demonstrate leadership qualities within a high-volume environment, and assist store leadership with onboarding and evaluating new partners.

Responsibilities include preparing specialty drinks and food items according to company recipes and procedures, operating registers and handling cash and credit transactions accurately, and maintaining compliance with food safety and workplace health standards. Barista Trainers also assist with inventory management, stocking, opening/closing procedures, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to fostering a positive, team-oriented atmosphere. This position demands physical stamina for tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods. Employees may be required to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Previous experience as a barista preferred
  • Basic math and counting skills required
  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Must follow required dress code as assigned
  • Able to read and communicate in English and able to follow recipes
  • Complete Food Handling Certification as required
  • Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, walk, and stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment (PPE)

Job Duties

  • Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions
  • Model professionalism, teamwork, and leadership while supporting daily operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Train, coach, and mentor new baristas on beverage recipes, operational procedures, and company standards
  • Assist store leadership with onboarding new partners and evaluating training effectiveness
  • Demonstrate proper preparation techniques for handcrafted coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and food items to ensure consistency and quality
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and workplace health and safety procedures
  • Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs
