As a Barista at Hilton Minneapolis, you will play an integral role in delivering these best-in-class guest experiences through excellent service and quality beverage preparation. This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $17.43 per hour with tip eligibility and flexible shift patterns that include mornings and evenings. Your primary responsibility will be to warmly greet guests and serve beverages and food items promptly and accurately, maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. You will be expected to prepare beverages according to established recipes and promote menu items, contributing to the hotel’s financial success. Beyond service, you will handle order processing through point-of-sale systems, ensure cleanliness and organization of your work area, and manage inventory by requisitioning, stocking, and rotating products. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings and evenings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle cash and operate point-of-sale systems
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced environment
- Must be dependable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a food and beverage or hospitality environment is an advantage
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including mornings and evenings
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Ability to operate point-of-sale systems
- Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness and organization
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Job Duties
- Greet guests and respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
- Brew, sell, promote, and prepare beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Take guest beverage orders and accurately input orders into the appropriate point-of-sale system
- Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and outlet
- Take guests to go/delivery orders and accurately input orders in the appropriate point-of-sale system
- Accurately total, process, and collect payments from guests, including using the point-of-sale system and processing credit and debit cards
- Requisition, stock, and rotate products
- Secure and store all beverages, food, and other equipment items
