You will also have the chance to participate in management development programs and gain valuable transferable skills that will serve you well in any future career.

With flexible scheduling options that accommodate students' varying academic needs, this position offers a supportive work environment where employees can learn and grow. Additional benefits such as a generous employee discount on course materials and textbooks, sick time accrual from the date of hire, and eligibility for commuter and 401k benefits contribute to the overall appeal of the role. The campus retail associate position also provides an opportunity to work in a setting that prioritizes health and safety, in compliance with all federal, state, and local COVID-19 regulations, creating a safe atmosphere for employees and customers alike.

This role requires candidates to be at least 16 years old, with prior food handling experience preferred but not mandatory. Key attributes for success include a confident customer service approach, a positive and proactive attitude, basic math and data entry skills, and flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the academic cycles and peak periods throughout the year. Physical demands include frequent movement, lifting, and the ability to perform routine housekeeping duties, contributing to the upkeep of a clean and welcoming retail environment.

Joining Barnes & Noble College as a campus retail associate means becoming part of a team that is dedicated to enhancing the educational experience through meaningful interactions and quality service.
