One of our key locations, The Strip Market, is a high-volume counter service and coffee shop located within Pittsburgh International Airport. This bustling quick service venue serves a dynamic mix of passengers, airport employees, and visitors who enjoy convenient access to freshly prepared coffee and specialty beverages alongside a variety of quick food options. At The Strip Market, we are immediately hiring AM/PM Baristas to join our dedicated team. This role is critical to maintaining the fast-paced operational tempo expected at a busy airport retail location.
The Barista position at Air Ventures entails preparing made-to-order coffee and specialty drinks tailored to customer preferences, ensuring every beverage meets high standards for quality and presentation. Beyond beverage preparation, Baristas facilitate smooth transactions by handling cash and electronic payments, providing customers with accurate billing and making change as necessary. They also support the overall store environment by stocking merchandise, setting up promotional displays, and keeping the service area clean and orderly. Effective communication with guests is essential, as Baristas answer questions about products, locations, and pricing, contributing to a positive customer experience.
Working at The Strip Market requires flexibility and a strong work ethic, as Baristas must be willing to work during peak hours that include nights, weekends, and holidays. The role involves both standing and walking for extended periods, as well as occasional lifting of heavy items, all in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure airport setting. Additionally, employment in this position requires eligibility for and maintenance of a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge to comply with airport security regulations.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally carry heavy items in a fast-paced, stressful environment
- Must be eligible for and maintain SIDA badge required to work in airport
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Job Duties
- Prepare made to order coffee and specialty beverages
- Obtain quick serve food or merchandise requested by customer or receive merchandise selected by customer
- Answer customer questions concerning location, price and use of merchandise
- Total price and tax on merchandise purchased by customer to determine bill
- Accept payment and make change
- Wrap or bag merchandise for customers
- Stock shelves, counters or tables with merchandise
- Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales
- Stamp, mark or tag prices on merchandise
- Keep the showroom clean and orderly
