Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain known for its premium coffee and commitment to fostering a warm, welcoming environment for its customers. As a leader in the specialty coffee industry, Starbucks operates thousands of stores worldwide, offering a variety of handcrafted beverages, food items, and merchandise. The company prides itself not only on delivering high-quality products but also on creating meaningful social experiences and connections through every cup served. Starbucks has built a culture that values inclusivity, diversity, and community engagement, making it a preferred employer for individuals passionate about customer service and personal growth.

As a Starbucks partner, you are an essential part of this mission, working in a fast-paced retail environment where every interaction matters. This role offers the opportunity to brighten someone’s day with a friendly smile, accurate and personalized beverage preparation, and attentive service. Whether you’re a seasoned barista or starting your career journey, Starbucks provides comprehensive training and continuous development to help you thrive. You engage directly with customers, addressing their needs and preferences, ensuring each visit is a memorable experience.

The position requires flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays to meet operational needs. As a partner, you will be involved in multiple tasks during each shift, from preparing food and beverages according to standard and customized recipes, managing cash transactions accurately, maintaining store safety protocols, to collaborating with your team to deliver exceptional service. You are entrusted with upholding Starbucks’ high-quality standards and store policies consistently.

Starbucks is deeply invested in its partners’ professional growth and well-being. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance options, paid parental leave, paid vacation, sick time, holiday pay, and a robust 401(k) retirement plan with employer match. Additionally, partners have access to educational opportunities such as the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, which offers 100% tuition coverage for a bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program. The company also supports partners with financial well-being tools, emergency savings incentives, and backup care, highlighting its commitment to holistic partner care.

At Starbucks, diversity and inclusion are not just buzzwords but foundational principles. The company is an equal opportunity employer that considers all qualified applicants regardless of various protected characteristics. It also assures consideration for applicants with criminal histories in compliance with laws, offering reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities. Working at Starbucks means joining a vibrant community where your contributions count, and your growth is supported.

This role is typically hired at the entry point of the pay range depending on location, with compensation reflecting the specific facts and circumstances of each candidate and position. If you are enthusiastic about working in a dynamic environment, love making human connections, and want to be part of a brand that values your development, Starbucks is the right place for you.
