Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain dedicated to crafting the world’s finest coffee, one meaningful moment at a time. With a strong commitment to creating a warm and welcoming environment, Starbucks invites customers to experience not just premium beverages but also genuine human connections. Every cup served is an opportunity to brighten someone's day, whether through a friendly smile, personalized service, or remembering a customer’s favorite order. Starbucks has built its reputation on delivering a unique customer experience in a fast-paced and dynamic setting, making it one of the most beloved brands worldwide.

At Starbucks, the role of a Barista extends beyond preparing coffee; it’s about fostering community and building relationships through exceptional service. The company invests deeply in the growth and development of its partners (employees), offering industry-leading benefits and supportive opportunities for career advancement. Whether you are new to the workforce or seeking a role that values teamwork, learning, and customer engagement, Starbucks welcomes you to be a part of its vibrant team.

The Barista position does not require any prior experience, emphasizing an inclusive hiring approach that values interpersonal skills, adaptability, and eagerness to learn. This role involves working flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, accommodating diverse schedules and lifestyles. Responsibilities mix in-store operational tasks with direct customer service, including food and beverage preparation according to set or customized recipes. Partners ensure quality and safety standards are met while maintaining a clean and secure workplace.

Starbucks fosters a collaborative environment where team members support one another to create a seamless customer experience. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to both understand and communicate effectively are essential. Partners are encouraged to embrace challenges, build meaningful relationships with customers and colleagues alike, and take pride in every detail of their work from cash handling to product presentation.

Comprehensive benefits include access to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability coverage, paid parental leave, and sick time accrual. Starbucks also supports partner education through upfront tuition payments for a first-time bachelor’s degree and provides financial well-being resources, retirement plans with employer match, and stock purchase programs. Beyond pay, partners receive paid vacation after an introductory period, holiday pay, emergency savings incentives, and family care allowances.

Starbucks is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. It ensures reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities and considers qualified applicants with criminal histories fairly and respectfully. Each new partner typically begins at the entry point of the pay range, which varies by geographic location, with individual compensation decisions made based on role, experience, and candidate qualifications.

Joining Starbucks means becoming part of a globally respected company focused on creating memorable, positive daily experiences through coffee and connection. Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment, embrace teamwork, and value the opportunity to impact customer lives positively. This position offers more than just a job—it’s a chance to grow, learn, and be part of an extraordinary community that shares a passion for quality coffee and meaningful human interactions.
