Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain known for crafting the world's finest coffee and creating warm, welcoming spaces where every cup serves as an opportunity for connection. Founded in Seattle in 1971, Starbucks has grown into a leading specialty coffee brand with a presence in over 80 countries. The company is dedicated to fostering a culture of belonging, where partners (employees) are valued and empowered to bring their best selves to work. Starbucks places a strong emphasis on social responsibility, sustainability, and community engagement, making it a preferred employer for individuals passionate about creating meaningful experiences through coffee.

Joining Starbucks means becoming part of a fast-paced, customer-centric environment where every interaction matters. Whether it's offering a warm smile, remembering a customer's favorite order, or ensuring consistent quality in every beverage and food item, partners play an essential role in shaping memorable moments for customers. The company is invested in partner growth, offering developmental experiences designed to enhance skills and career progression. Beyond the collaborative workplace culture, Starbucks provides industry-leading benefits that support the well-being of its partners and their families.

This barista role is an entry-level position ideal for individuals with little to no prior experience. The role demands flexibility, friendly communication, and the ability to work efficiently under the dynamic pace of a busy coffee shop. Responsibilities include preparing high-quality coffee and food products to Starbucks' exacting standards, engaging with customers to meet their needs, following store safety and security protocols, and contributing to various store operations during each shift. This position is not only about crafting beverages but also about creating moments that brighten customers' days and foster connections within the community.

Partners must maintain punctuality and consistent attendance and be willing to work flexible hours encompassing early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays. The ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal skills, is a quick learner, adept at understanding and following instructions, and thrives in teamwork and relationship-building environments. Starbucks emphasizes inclusivity and equal opportunity, ensuring that all qualified applicants receive fair consideration regardless of race, gender, disability, or any legally protected characteristic.

Starbucks offers competitive entry-level wages based on geographic location, with compensation and benefits designed to support both partners and their families. Benefits include comprehensive health care coverage, paid time off, parental leave, retirement savings plans, tuition reimbursement for first-time bachelor’s degrees through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, financial counseling, and various employee assistance programs. Starbucks' commitment to partner well-being extends to accommodations for disabilities and adherence to local labor laws. This role is a stepping stone into an enriching career within a global leader in coffee retail, with ample opportunity for learning, growth, and making a meaningful impact each day.
