Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized leader in the coffee industry, known for its commitment to crafting excellent coffee and creating social connections around each cup. Founded in Seattle, Washington, Starbucks has grown from a single store to an international chain with thousands of locations worldwide. The company takes pride in not only providing quality beverages and food products but also fostering a warm and welcoming environment where customers can experience meaningful moments of connection. Starbucks believes that every interaction—with a smile, a personalized order, or a welcoming atmosphere—has the power to brighten someone’s day. This ethos resonates at every level of the organization, underpinning the culture of hospitality and customer-centric service that Starbucks is famous for.

Starbucks is currently seeking passionate and committed individuals to join their team as Baristas. This entry-level position plays a pivotal role in delivering the Starbucks experience by crafting high-quality beverages and engaging meaningfully with customers. While no previous experience is required to start this role, candidates should demonstrate a keen ability to learn quickly, possess strong interpersonal skills, and thrive in a busy and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be available to work flexible hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and nights, to meet the operational needs of the store.

As a Starbucks Barista, you will be part of a team that values collaboration and relationship-building. The role requires preparing food and beverages following standard recipes or customizing orders to suit customer preferences, such as adjusting ingredient quantities or substituting ingredients. You will also handle cash transactions and ensure the store meets safety and security standards. Beyond the technical responsibilities, this role is about creating moments that matter—connecting with customers through clear and positive communication and understanding their needs to provide a personalized coffee experience.

Starbucks is deeply invested in the growth and development of its partners (employees). Partners are empowered through ongoing developmental experiences and access to industry-leading benefits designed to support both their professional and personal lives. These benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid parental leave, paid vacation, sick time, and access to retirement and stock programs that provide financial security and incentives. Notably, Starbucks offers 100 percent upfront tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree via the Starbucks College Achievement Plan in partnership with Arizona State University’s online program. Additional resources such as student loan management, financial well-being tools, backup care, and DACA reimbursement further exemplify the company's commitment to partner support.

Starbucks is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity and inclusion. The company complies with all applicable laws regarding employee rights and accommodations for disabilities, making the workplace accessible and supportive for all partners. Compensation is competitive and varies based on geographic location and experience, with most new partners starting at the entry point of the pay range for their role. If you are enthusiastic about coffee, value human connection, and seek a role that supports your personal and professional growth, Starbucks invites you to join their team and craft the world’s finest coffee, one meaningful moment at a time.
