Job Description
Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain dedicated to crafting the world's finest coffee while fostering meaningful connections with customers. With a strong emphasis on creating warm and welcoming spaces, Starbucks prides itself on offering an environment where every cup of coffee sparks connection and every moment becomes a chance to brighten someone's day. This esteemed establishment operates as an inviting and community-focused coffeehouse, prioritizing both customer experience and employee development. Through its expansive global presence and commitment to quality, Starbucks has established itself as an industry leader in coffee retailing and cafe culture.
The role of a Starbucks partner, commonly referred to as a barista, is essential in delivering this exceptional experience. This employment opportunity is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, people-oriented environments and who find joy in engaging with customers and teammates alike. It involves more than just preparing coffee; it is about creating moments that matter by providing personalized service, whether through a warm smile, remembering a favorite order, or effectively responding to customer needs. Starbucks invests significantly in the growth and development of its partners, offering a variety of developmental experiences and comprehensive benefits to support both personal and professional growth. This position typically offers entry-level pay adjusted for geographic location, with compensation reflective of each candidate's experience and qualifications.
As a Starbucks partner, you will have the opportunity to learn quickly and perform a diverse set of tasks within the store each shift, including preparing food and beverages to standard or customized recipes, handling cash, and maintaining store safety and security. The company values flexibility, requiring availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays to meet store operational needs.
In addition to competitive compensation, Starbucks provides an exceptional benefits package for partners and their families. This includes access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance plans. Partners have access to short-term and long-term disability coverage, paid parental leave, family expansion reimbursement, paid vacation accrual, sick time, and extra pay for working on designated holidays. Financial benefits extend to participation in a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, a discounted company stock program, and an equity program known as Bean Stock. Starbucks also supports partners' educational aspirations through 100% upfront tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor's degree via Arizona State University's online program, student loan resources, and other educational opportunities. Additional support includes backup care and assistance with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) reimbursement.
Starbucks is committed to equal opportunity employment and values diversity, ensuring that qualified applicants receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics. The company also provides reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities, affirming its dedication to an inclusive workplace. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to start a rewarding career in an environment that values growth, community, and excellent customer service.
