This role is pivotal in delivering the legendary customer service experience that the company promises. The Barista plays a central role in creating what is often referred to as the Starbucks Experience for both local patrons and hotel guests. This involves providing prompt service, consistently offering quality beverages and products, and keeping a clean and inviting store environment. The Barista acts as the face of the coffee shop, delivering service that aligns with the company's core guiding principles. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to learn quickly
- strong interpersonal skills
- meet store operating policies and standards, including quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodation
- engage with and understand customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication
- prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers
- available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift

Job Qualifications
- Prior food and beverage experience preferred

Job Duties
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
- act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of the company
- maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard
- anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
- deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer
- follow operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all Team Members during each shift
- maintain a clean and organized workspace so that Team Members can locate resources and product as needed
- provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
- follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
- maintain regular and punctual attendance
- be available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
