The Food and Beverage Team Member role is pivotal within the hospitality team, responsible for selling, preparing, and serving a variety of food and beverage items to guests with outstanding customer service. The position embodies the tribe’s Five Star Experience by ensuring that every guest and fellow team member feels welcomed, valued, and cared for throughout their visit. This role involves handling food and beverage orders accurately using point of sale devices, preparing quality items in accordance with strict recipe and presentation standards, and maintaining sanitary, organized work and dining areas. This is a non-supervisory position that requires adherence to health and safety guidelines, equipment maintenance, stock management, and a commitment to supporting a collaborative team environment through knowledge sharing and training assistance.
Employment in this role requires flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and to be available for emergency calls as needed, reflecting the operational hours of the tribe’s enterprises which may include 24/7 gaming facilities. Candidates must meet specific internal control standards and participate fully in safety training and compliance protocols. Physical demands include standing, walking, occasional lifting, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks in environments that may involve loud noises and low lighting. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent highly preferred
- Must pass periodic random drug screens
- Must be able to pass background suitability investigation
- Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment
- Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays and be available for emergency calls
- Willingness to adhere to all safety policies and procedures and participate in safety training
- Must follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines
- Must be able to work in environments with noise and low light
- Capable of performing repetitive physical tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent highly preferred
- Experience in food and beverage service preferred
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Capability to operate point of sale systems efficiently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement
- Deliver our Five Star Experience to Guests and all Team Members by embodying our Mission Statement and Service Promise while adhering to department service standards
- Obtain food and beverage orders and process payments using point of sale device, including cash, credit cards, comps, and discounts
- Perform assigned cashier duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures Policies
- Provide quality beverage items by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards, as well as guest modification
- Responsible for preparing, cooking and serving various food items while adhering to recipe and presentation standards
- Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
