We are currently seeking a Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our guests receive friendly, courteous, and efficient service. The Food and Beverage Server will be responsible for presenting food and beverage items in a professional and appealing manner, maintaining cleanliness in the preparation and serving areas, and ensuring all customer interactions meet the company’s high standards. This role requires excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of food and beverage preparation, and the ability to operate point-of-sale systems accurately. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the food service industry and possess certifications such as Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers. The position also demands physical stamina to perform duties in varying temperatures and to stand or move for extended periods.
In addition to serving customers, the Food and Beverage Server is tasked with maintaining safe and sanitary work environments, operating equipment, and managing inventory supplies like cup sleeves, napkins, and straws. The role includes responsibilities such as following all safety procedures, handling food and beverages according to health regulations, and supporting other hotel operations as needed. This position requires a balance of technical skills, customer service expertise, and physical capability to ensure an outstanding guest experience and smooth outlet operation. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year customer service experience
- Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
- ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace
- ability to stand and be mobile for up to four hours
- ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- ability to push and pull carts up to 250 lbs
- ability to work in varying temperatures including extreme heat and cold
- ability to perform repetitive motions and physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and stretching
- ability to maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- regular attendance and punctuality
- compliance with company rules and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year customer service experience
- one to three years food service experience preferred
- Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
- good verbal and written communication skills
- excellent customer relations skills
- detail oriented with organizational skills
- basic computer skills including knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
- basic computational ability
- ability to handle customer conflicts with patience and tact

- strong issue resolution and analytical skills
- knowledge of drink preparation and health standards
Job Duties
- Take customer orders
- describe menu items and suggest products to customers
- provide information about products and look for up-sell opportunities
- prepare and serve hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan, and specialty beverages along with pastries and cookies
- prepare all drinks and food items following the outlet and company standards
- educate and inform customers about differences among coffee beans, coffee preparation and home brewing methods
- ensure equipment is clean and in working order
- report any maintenance or repair needs
- maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following sanitation regulations
- clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
- clean tables, floors, and other service areas
- ensure coffee supplies are always stocked
- operate a cash register/POS system and receive payments
- follow company operational policies for safety and security
- maintain calm demeanor during high volume periods
- handle food and equipment properly
- perform other duties as assigned
