As a Barista at Joffrey's, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of providing a welcoming and friendly environment where each guest feels acknowledged and valued. You will employ your in-depth product knowledge to answer questions about the origins, production, and brewing of Joffrey's coffee offerings, ensuring guests have an enriching experience beyond just consumption. Exceptional skills in handling both non-alcoholic and approved alcoholic beverages (for guests aged 21 and older) are essential, requiring willingness and certification to mix, sell, and serve responsibly. Ongoing proficiency is maintained through biannual Barista testing, emphasizing the company's dedication to continual skill enhancement and quality control.

The position demands strong communication abilities, creativity in crafting drink recipes, and a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations by resolving complaints and handling problems efficiently. Moreover, the Barista must ensure operational excellence by monitoring beverage and food quality, controlling shrinkage, preserving equipment safety and cleanliness, and adhering to safety and security protocols. Physical requirements for this role include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform tasks like bending, climbing, and pushing/pulling equipment, and work varied hours and days. The Barista must be able to operate POS systems, communicate effectively with coworkers and guests, and maintain compliance with company visual standards, often referred to as the "Disney look."
