Job Description
Acosta Group is a leading sales and marketing agency dedicated to providing innovative solutions that drive sales and deliver measurable results for brands across the food, beverage, and consumer packaged goods industries. With a strong reputation for excellence and a commitment to client success, Acosta operates across multiple sectors helping companies reach consumers through experiential marketing, retail merchandising, and product demonstrations. As a part-time position within the marketing business unit, this role offers the opportunity to engage directly with consumers and contribute to the success of specialized food products in retail environments.
The role focuses on the preparation and set-up of designated areas for specialized food products, ensuring all demonstrations and events are executed according to strict program guidelines. This includes a thorough understanding and application of food safety standards, proper handling of machinery and equipment, and maintaining a clean sterile environment supportive of product integrity and consumer health. Employees are responsible for reading and comprehending materials related to product demonstrations to understand program scope, compliance requirements, and production guidelines, ensuring every event operates smoothly and effectively.
Safety is paramount in this position, with strict adherence to all safety protocols concerning machinery use, lifting techniques, and food handling practices. The job requires active engagement in certification processes and training sessions to stay abreast of continuing compliance and evolving standards in food safety. Collaboration is key, as the role also involves assisting teammates with event set-up, clean-up, and kitchen duties as needed.
Additional responsibilities include conducting food sampling and demonstrations to promote products while providing valuable customer interactions. The ability to work in varied environments with exposure to cold, refrigerated conditions, and hot equipment is necessary. Physical demands such as sitting, standing, handling computer peripherals, and manual tasks using sharp utensils are part of the job requirements. Solid communication skills in English are essential, with bilingual abilities beneficial depending on business needs.
This position offers a dynamic work environment that balances technical food preparation skills with marketing and customer engagement. It is integral to ensuring brand visibility in retail while maintaining the highest levels of food safety and program compliance. As an equal opportunity employer, Acosta Group supports diversity and provides reasonable accommodations to applicants with disabilities.
