Job Requirements

  • Several years of experience as a barista or in a related position
  • NYC Food Handler’s Certification
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 25 lbs
  • Passion for coffee
  • Outgoing and energetic disposition
  • Polished and stylish presence
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with various POS systems is preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Several years of experience as a barista or in a related position

Job Duties

  • Greets customers and takes orders, processes cash and credit card transactions
  • Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages according to brand specifications and customers’ requests
  • Serves prepared foods and pastries
  • Delivers customer service to exceed customers' expectations by responding to their needs with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm during periods of high volume to keep the store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team
  • Maintains appearance of location ensuring product is stocked to appropriate levels and all areas are properly cleaned and sanitized
  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
  • Communicates effectively with store manager regarding store, employee, and customer needs
  • Communicates customer feedback to managers and recommends new menu items
  • Maintains a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager
