The position offers an hourly pay rate ranging from $15 to $21.13, dependent on experience and specific geographic location, with compliance to all applicable wage laws at city, county, and state levels. Job Requirements
- Must have several years of experience as a barista or in a related position
- Must have NYC Food Handler’s Certification
- Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs
- Basic math skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm during high volume periods
- Passionate about coffee
- Passion for hospitality and guest service
- Polished and stylish presence
Job Qualifications
- Several years of experience as a barista or in a related position
- Must have NYC Food Handler’s Certification
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Basic math skills

- Proficiency with various POS systems preferred
Job Duties
- Greet customers and take orders, process cash and credit card transactions
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages according to brand specifications and customers’ requests
- Serve prepared foods and pastries
- Deliver customer service to exceed customers' expectations by responding to their needs promptly
- Ability to multitask and remain calm during high volume periods to maintain store standards and set a positive example
- Maintain appearance of location ensuring product is stocked and areas are cleaned and sanitized
- Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
- Communicate effectively with store manager regarding store, employee, and customer needs
- Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
- Maintain a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager
