We are currently seeking a passionate and service-oriented Barista to join our luxury coffee shop team at Rosewood Sand Hill. This part-time position is perfect for individuals who appreciate the craftsmanship of coffee and are committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will embody warmth, precision, and a deep appreciation for the art of coffee-making, ensuring that every beverage served is crafted to the highest standards. The Barista role involves expertly preparing a variety of espresso-based and specialty beverages with consistency and artistry, calibrating espresso to maintain superior flavor and quality, and maintaining a well-stocked and organized station. Engaging guests with genuine hospitality, offering thoughtful recommendations, and sharing coffee knowledge to enhance the overall experience are key components of the position.
Additionally, the Barista will uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in all preparation and service areas, serve food and beverages with grace and efficiency ensuring a seamless guest experience, and conduct opening and closing inventory checks. Assistance with stock control and support for cost management initiatives are also essential duties. The role requires performing assigned side work and contributing to team projects and operational tasks as needed, all while representing the coffee shop and Rosewood Sand Hill hotel brand with professionalism and pride. The pay rate for this position ranges between $23.70 and $26.34 per hour, with determinations based on experience and relevant luxury or fine dining hospitality background. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role preferably in a luxury or boutique hospitality setting
- strong knowledge of coffee preparation flavor profiles and brewing techniques
- fluent in English additional language skills are a plus
- exceptional communication presentation and interpersonal skills
- professional demeanor with a commitment to excellence and attention to detail
- California Food Handler Card preferred
