Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior customer service experience is a plus
- ability to use technology such as registers and tablets efficiently
- strong communication skills
- willingness to learn and develop new skills
- positive and supportive team player
- ability to perform physical tasks including standing for prolonged periods and lifting
- enjoy being a barista and engaging with customers
Job Duties
- welcome customers cheerfully and helpfully
- answer customer questions and connect readers with the right beverages and café items
- maintain attractive presentation and cleanliness of the café
- unpack and stock deliveries accurately
- operate registers quickly and professionally
- prepare food and beverages with accuracy and care
- follow First In First Out (FIFO) practices and ensure food safety and sanitation
- support the bookfloor team when needed
- adhere to loss prevention and de-escalation procedures
