This job opportunity is for a barista/bartender role within the Gjelina Group, where the employee will maintain the quality and integrity of all beverages, including wine, beer, cocktails, coffee, and soft drinks served at the bar and throughout service stations. This role demands dedication to cleanliness, stock management, and polished presentation all while providing excellent guest service. Baristas and bartenders must handle multiple tasks with composure in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills and teamwork. Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years restaurant or related experience preferred
  • Minimum 1 year coffee barista experience required
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Proficient with restaurant point of sale and reservation systems
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and nights
  • Possess state-approved Alcohol Awareness Training and Prevention of Sexual Harassment Training certificates
  • Food Handler Certificate

Job Duties

  • Maintain the quality and integrity of wine, beer, cocktails, and soft beverages produced at the bar and service stations
  • Maintain and clean the bar including side work, stocking, and polishing glassware
  • Prepare and serve beverages adhering to freshness and quality standards
  • Participate in coffee, tea, and wine tastings and trainings
  • Assist in training and development of new staff
  • Manage inventory including rotation of bottled beer and wine, and monthly product inventory
  • Communicate clearly with service staff and management to ensure smooth service
  • Provide prompt and attentive guest service, greeting and thanking customers
  • Restock bar supplies at opening and closing shifts
  • Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation protocols
  • Handle service issues by escalating to management
  • Support management during in-house service and events
