This full-time Barista position offers a competitive starting salary of $12.50 per hour, with pay placement determined by an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. As a Barista at PENN Entertainment, you will be the face of hospitality, greeting guests promptly with a smile and friendly demeanor. Your knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and pricing will enable you to make recommendations and provide detailed explanations of coffee beverages. You will engage guests in pleasant conversations, enhancing their overall experience while preparing and serving coffee, blended drinks, and other refreshments. Responsibilities also include managing the cash register, maintaining an accurate cash bank, and ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of your workstation and equipment. Preparing for shifts by restocking supplies and performing routine cleaning tasks will ensure operational readiness and seamless service. This role also requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, along with a professional appearance and the ability to maintain composure and efficiency in often crowded, noisy, and fast-paced settings.

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Obtain and maintain valid alcohol serving permits
- Previous cash handling experience an asset
- Previous Food and Beverage experience helpful
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Read, write legibly, understand and speak English
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Available to work required schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
- Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
- Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
- Able to work in constricting areas
- Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise and bright lights
- Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded and noisy environment
- Physically mobile including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs and perform various physical activities including bending, stooping, kneeling, and balancing

Job Duties
- Greet guests in a timely manner with a smile and a pleasant disposition
- Be familiar with menu, preparation of drinks and food and prices
- Use suggestive selling techniques
- Explain the ingredients to the coffee
- Carry on a friendly conversation with the guests as coffee is prepared
- Prepare for the next shift by filling the supplies, cleaning and sanitizing the workstation and equipment
- Work as a Barista making coffee, blended beverages, etc.
- Work the cash register and maintain an accurate bank, maintain cleanliness
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
