We are currently seeking a skilled Barista to join our energetic team and take on the essential role of preparing coffee and specialty beverages in line with Starbucks and The Nugget’s procedures. The Barista will be responsible for not only making delicious drinks but also providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere to guests. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of coffee blends, quality, and variety, ensuring that every beverage prepared lives up to the highest standards. Key responsibilities include flawlessly reciting recipes from memory, taking accurate orders, and up-selling food items to enhance the guest experience.

The successful candidate will also maintain cleanliness and organization of both front and back of house, from clearing tables and counters to stocking and rotating products with attention to expiration dates. A strong emphasis is placed on excellent communication skills, safety awareness, and adherence to all company policies and local, state, and federal regulations. This ensures a safe, professional, and customer-friendly environment, where team collaboration and positive interactions are paramount. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
One year guest service and cashier experience
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form using the English language
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods
Ability to lift and move product up to 50 lbs
Fine finger manipulation
Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
Willingness to follow company policies and safety regulations
Regular predictable attendance

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
One year guest service and cashier experience
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment
Knowledge of Starbucks beverage preparation standards
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Duties

Ability to recite recipes from memory and flawlessly prepare beverages
Responsible for welcoming each guest in an upbeat, positive, and professional manner
Upsell food items in accordance with restaurant standards
Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators, coolers, slicers, and blenders
Take guest orders accurately, prepare orders in a timely manner
Collect payment following all proper cash handling and comp procedures
Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the front and back of the house, clear tables, and counters, sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with guests
Responsible for stocking retail areas and cold foods as needed, ensuring product expiration dates are current
Cleans and stocks guest service areas with necessary items such as creamer, sugar, napkins and stir sticks
Maintain visually attractive presentation of Starbucks retail merchandise
Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
Unload warehouse orders and stock orders to designated storage, maintaining organization
Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests
Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going "above and beyond" as appropriate
