This recognition was based on employee feedback covering various factors such as workplace environment, job satisfaction, and benefits, reflecting the hospital's dedication to fostering a supportive, engaging, and balanced work setting.

We are currently seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Barista to join our Coffee Bar team at Northwest Specialty Hospital. Under the guidance of the Dietary Manager, the Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages including coffees and teas to patients, their families, and hospital staff. This role demands excellent customer service skills, the ability to handle cash and process payments accurately, and maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas, utensils, and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and food handling procedures.

The Barista position requires a professional demeanor and appearance, as the individual will interact with a diverse group of patrons within the hospital environment. Maintaining confidentiality regarding hospital operations and patient information is essential. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy a fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering quality customer experiences within a healthcare setting.

Job responsibilities include customizing orders to customer preferences, describing product details effectively, serving prepared foods such as cookies, muffins, and bagels, and ensuring that all service stations are well-stocked and organized. The Barista will also be tasked with inventory management duties, including ordering, stocking, and receiving products per direction. Regular monitoring of refrigeration and freezer temperatures will ensure food safety standards are maintained. The ability to multitask, stay organized, and communicate effectively with leadership, peers, and patients is critical for success in this role.
