The part-time Barista position available at Capital One Cafe in Scottsdale, AZ, offers a dynamic role for individuals passionate about coffee craftsmanship and customer service. This role involves preparing and serving espresso drinks and related food and beverage items with precision and care. Job Requirements

  • Previous barista experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work flexible, part-time schedule including weekends and nights
  • Open availability preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow food safety and HACCP guidelines
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Duties

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • Enters orders accurately into POS device
  • accepts cash and charge payments
  • Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
  • Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
  • Greets customers courteously and interacts to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
  • Serves customers quickly and efficiently, preventing delays in serving lines
  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
  • Ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards
  • Serves food neatly and attractively
  • Performs other duties as assigned
