The position available is for a part-time Barista located at Ochsner Medical Center Baptist in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role offers a fixed pay rate of $15.00 per hour and involves working Monday through Friday from 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm. As a Barista at Morrison Healthcare, you will play an essential role in making a positive difference in the lives of patients, visitors, and healthcare staff by preparing and serving coffee and espresso drinks along with related food and beverage items. This position requires previous barista experience to ensure that all beverages served meet the high-quality standards expected in a healthcare environment. The role emphasizes cleanliness, food safety, and HACCP guidelines adherence, ensuring that all products and equipment are handled hygienically and safely.

In this role, interaction with customers is key; the Barista must be friendly and courteous, contributing to an environment that fosters comfort and satisfaction. Beyond preparing beverages, the Barista is responsible for managing orders accurately through the POS system, handling cash and charge payments, and maintaining the service area’s cleanliness. The role requires attention to detail to uphold proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, aligning with regulatory and internal production standards. Additionally, the Barista supports merchandising display foods attractively and acts as an advocate for selling by assisting customers in their beverage choices through clear communication.
