The position available is for a part-time Barista located at Ochsner Medical Center Baptist in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role offers a fixed pay rate of $15.00 per hour and involves working Monday through Friday from 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm. As a Barista at Morrison Healthcare, you will play an essential role in making a positive difference in the lives of patients, visitors, and healthcare staff by preparing and serving coffee and espresso drinks along with related food and beverage items. This position requires previous barista experience to ensure that all beverages served meet the high-quality standards expected in a healthcare environment. The role emphasizes cleanliness, food safety, and HACCP guidelines adherence, ensuring that all products and equipment are handled hygienically and safely.

In this role, interaction with customers is key; the Barista must be friendly and courteous, contributing to an environment that fosters comfort and satisfaction. Job Duties

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • Enters orders accurately into POS device and accepts cash and charge payments
  • Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
  • Greets customers courteously and interacts to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving area for other assignments
