This role involves working as a cashier and a grocery associate, blending customer service with inventory management and merchandising duties. The position requires greeting customers warmly, assisting them throughout their shopping journey, and ensuring all transactions are handled accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for checking and maintaining product freshness, labeling, stocking shelves, and maintaining attractive merchandise displays. Additionally, you will take on duties involving food safety compliance, temperature monitoring of cases and coolers, and maintaining accurate pricing records. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify potential problems, communicate proactively with management, and take initiative in maintaining store standards.

Working as a cashier, you will handle money transactions, maintain cash register accuracy, and ensure a minimal cash over/short record. The position also entails gathering and sharing customer feedback, bagging customers' orders properly, managing supply levels, cleaning spills, and ensuring proper sanitation throughout the store. Computer and phone literacy are required, and you will need to assist in training new cashiers. Physical endurance is important as the job involves bending, squatting, and lifting weights up to 50 lbs occasionally. The role requires a flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays, to meet the store’s operational needs effectively. A high school diploma is preferred but not mandatory.
