The current opening is for a part-time Barista position located at the Denver Art Museum, situated at 100 West 14th Avenue Parkway, Denver, CO 80204. The role operates on a part-time schedule from Monday through Sunday, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The pay rate for this position ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, offering competitive compensation in line with the level of skill and experience expected.

As a Barista at Culinaire, you will be entrusted with preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items to museum visitors and event attendees. This role is integral to providing a high-quality customer experience, requiring previous barista experience to ensure proficiency in crafting beverages and handling food items according to strict HACCP guidelines. You will be expected to engage with customers warmly and courteously, ensuring a welcoming environment at the service stations.

The Barista will accurately enter orders using a point-of-sale (POS) system, manage payments both cash and charged, and ensure that condiments, beverages, and supplies are replenished promptly. Maintaining cleanliness, proper food presentation, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards are essential parts of the role. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a passion for serving customers efficiently and with a smile.

Additionally, the Barista will support merchandising efforts by ensuring attractive and appealing food displays, using approved recipes and production standards to maintain quality and consistency. Job Duties

  • Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes

  • clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area

  • relay relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
  • serve customers quickly and efficiently, preventing delays in serving lines
  • demonstrate complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to customers
  • advocate selling techniques by establishing good communication and assisting in buying decisions
  • ensure all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards

  • perform other duties as assigned
