Job Description

Hotel Haya, located in the heart of historic Ybor City just a trolley ride away from downtown Tampa, is managed by Aparium Hotel Group, a distinguished name in the hospitality industry. Aparium Hotel Group, established in 2011 by seasoned hospitality executives Mario Tricoci and Kevin Robinson, specializes in delivering top-tier service and accommodations while celebrating and preserving the unique character of the communities it serves. Aparium is recognized for blending the efficiency and professionalism of large hospitality companies with the charm and individuality of boutique hotels, particularly in smaller yet vibrant markets. This approach ensures that their properties are not just places to stay, but cultural hubs that honor the local heritage and foster a sense of pride and belonging among both staff and guests. Hotel Haya embodies this philosophy, offering guests a captivating experience with its blend of Cuban, Italian, and Spanish influences, featuring 178 guest rooms, over 7,000 square feet of banquet space, a world-class restaurant, an inviting café, and a lush courtyard complete with a pool. The hotel is deeply committed to inclusivity and diversity, striving to create a workplace environment where all employees feel valued and empowered, reflecting the very communities it serves.

The Barista role at Hotel Haya is an essential part of the Food and Beverage team, reporting directly to the Food and Beverage Managers and Director. Additionally, you will participate in team meetings and daily line-ups to improve service quality continuously, communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff, and assist in other Food and Beverage areas as needed. The role demands a dedicated professional who is reliable, polished, and ready to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical requirements include standing and walking for extended periods, fine motor coordination, and the ability to lift and carry items as necessary. Working in a smoke-free, drug-free environment, you’ll be part of a team that values collaboration, humility, and a shared commitment to excellence. Embracing the company’s guiding principles of People, Place, and Character, you will help create an atmosphere that celebrates diversity, fosters community connection, and delivers unparalleled hospitality.
