In this role, the Barista is responsible for more than just making drinks. They are expected to engage customers by describing product details effectively and processing payments accurately. Additionally, the Barista will serve prepared foods like sandwiches, biscotti, muffins, and bagels, ensuring that all customer service stations are well stocked with necessary supplies. Maintaining hygiene and sanitation is critical, encompassing cleaning equipment, utensils, dishes, and work and service areas to meet the highest standards.

The position also demands vigilance in ensuring the proper functioning of refrigeration and heating equipment by routinely monitoring temperatures. Inventory management duties such as stocking supplies and retail products, and possibly ordering or receiving items, are also part of the role. The ability to multitask and work flexible hours and shifts is key to succeeding in this fast-paced environment.
