Job Description

Paradies Lagardère is a leading travel retail and restaurateur company known for delivering high-quality customer service and memorable dining experiences across various airports and travel-related venues. Established with a mission to exceed the expectations of customers and business partners, Paradies Lagardère takes pride in its vibrant Dining Division, which operates a wide range of restaurant concepts including on-trend national brands and iconic local establishments. The company emphasizes a blend of exceptional culinary offerings, inspiring restaurant designs, and engaging live entertainment to create unforgettable experiences that captivate travelers and diners alike. With a commitment to first-class service, Paradies Lagardère focuses on fostering a positive and respectful workplace culture that values trust, integrity, innovation, and commitment.

The Barista position at Paradies Lagardère is a vital role within the Dining Division, responsible for creating exceptional coffee and tea experiences for customers. This temporary role follows a schedule that includes working Sunday through Thursday from 2pm to 10pm, with Fridays and Saturdays off. The Barista is tasked with interacting warmly and professionally with guests, preparing and serving a variety of tea, coffee, and espresso beverages while adhering to established recipe and presentation standards. This position requires a welcoming and enthusiastic attitude, a passion for customer service, and the ability to operate coffee-making equipment efficiently and safely.

Working as a Barista at Paradies Lagardère goes beyond just preparing drinks. It means embracing the company’s core values encapsulated in the TRIFIC acronym: Trust, Respect, Integrity, First-Class service, Innovation, and Commitment. Employees are expected to embody these principles by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service with a smile, ensuring a welcoming environment that exceeds guest expectations. The Barista supports the overall mission of delivering first-class experiences to traveling customers by maintaining a professional image, adhering to uniform and grooming standards, and contributing to a clean and safe work environment free of hazards.

Key responsibilities of this position include greeting guests promptly, taking orders, handling payment transactions with accuracy and compliance to cash handling policies, and resolving any guest concerns directly or with managerial assistance. Additionally, Baristas assist with training new team members, maintain cleanliness, and support other restaurant areas such as seating customers and answering phones when needed. The role requires a calm and dependable personality capable of working independently, managing multiple responsibilities in a high-energy setting, and adapting to changing priorities.

Paradies Lagardère values employees who bring strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and customer service expertise to their work. While food and beverage industry experience is preferred but not mandatory, the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and a dedication to delivering an outstanding guest experience are essential. Knowledge of math skills for cash handling and a ServSafe certification or equivalent are advantageous. This temporary Barista role offers an excellent opportunity to join a leading hospitality company that prioritizes quality, innovation, and exceptional guest encounters in a dynamic work environment.
