The Barista role at City Brew Coffee is a dynamic position that combines the art of high-quality coffee preparation with outstanding customer service. This role offers both part-time and full-time employment opportunities. The Barista is central to the guest experience, responsible for creating great drinks, maintaining a clean and organized café environment, and engaging customers with genuine friendliness and product knowledge. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Barista embodies the company’s core values known as "The Three Things": great customer service, clean and organized stores, and excellent drinks and products.
In this role, a Barista warmly greets guests with a positive, customer-first attitude and efficiently prepares a variety of coffee and tea beverages alongside food items. They educate customers on menu offerings, answer questions, and help them find their perfect drink, ensuring each interaction reflects City Brew’s commitment to quality and service. The Barista also adheres to SERVE principles—Smile, Engage, Respect, Visible, Eager—to foster a friendly and professional atmosphere. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the café and handling cash transactions properly are also essential parts of the job.

Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- comfortable with repetitive tasks
- endurance to work full shifts and lift/carry supplies and equipment as needed
- prior customer service or food/beverage experience is a plus but not required

Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a positive, customer-first attitude
- prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and food items promptly and with a sense of urgency
- educate customers about our menu, answer questions, and help them find their perfect drink
- demonstrate SERVE (Smile, Engage, Respect, Visible, Eager) principles consistently
- keep the cafe clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times
- handle cash transactions and follow company cash-handling procedures
- support our team by communicating openly and stepping in where needed
- keep a neat and tidy appearance by wearing the approved dress code and maintain good personal hygiene
- stay calm and confident during high-volume hours while maintaining excellent service
- deliver on The Three Things every shift: great customer service, a clean/organized store, and great drinks and products
