In addition to beverage preparation, the Barista is responsible for restocking products, handling food and beverage items with proper storage and rotation techniques, and adhering to strict food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines. The Barista will maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, making thoughtful recommendations to guests to enhance their visit. Being flexible and supportive of hotel operations, the Barista also assists other departments during peak periods, thus contributing to the overall guest experience and hotel service culture.

Job Duties
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, and specialty beverages following Peet's recipes and presentation standards
- Provide prompt, friendly, and personalized service to all guests
- Accurately take orders and process transactions using the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including counters, equipment, and seating areas
- Restock products, supplies, and merchandise as needed
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of food and beverage items (FIFO)
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings and make recommendations to guests
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and reporting
- Support hotel operations by assisting other departments when needed (especially during peak periods)
- Uphold brand standards for both Peet's Coffee and the hotel
- Adhere to all Health Department rules and regulations and brand standards
- Must be responsible for security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets
- Must have completed required brand training program
- Must perform any other required duties as requested by the General Manager
- Keep confidential business functions
- Act with the highest level of integrity in every decision
