The Barista Lead position at the Corporate Café located in Salt Lake City, UT offers a full-time opportunity with competitive compensation at $21.50 per hour, operating primarily Monday through Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm. The Barista Lead is responsible for daily café operations including accurate cash register use, inventory management, and engaging with customers to enhance their experience. The role requires proficiency in preparing espresso-based drinks such as lattes and cappuccinos, along with ensuring stock levels of coffee supplies, pastries, and beverages are consistently maintained. Job Duties
- Operate a cash register with an accuracy of 99.85 percent
- set up appropriate cashier bank
- document cash received and charges made
- identify customer needs and refer them to the appropriate department for follow-up when necessary
- educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions
- prepare and sell coffee drinks by following recipes and preparation techniques for espresso, caffe latte, and cappuccino
- maintain inventories by replenishing coffee supply, stocking coffee brewing equipment, and maintaining supplies including pastries and cookies
- stock refrigerators with beverages and condiments
- clean, sanitize, and polish general work areas including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal
- prepare and gather items needed for meal service
- provide exceptional service to all guests
- understand workplace standards for dress, behavior, and hygiene
- perform basic math including addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals
- communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written
- deliver friendly, efficient customer service
- follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
- be able to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
- follow time schedules for food prep and service
- perform other duties as assigned
