The company values diversity, fairness, and inclusion, fostering an environment where every employee is respected and encouraged to bring their true selves to work. Sodexo’s mission is to create a better everyday for everyone by contributing to social, economic, and environmental progress in the communities where it operates.

This position is based at Saint Michael's College, a partner location where Sodexo provides food services including coffee and beverage operations. The role is full-time with weekday morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, offering a pay range of $17.25 to $21.00 per hour. Sodexo emphasizes a flexible and supportive working environment, ensuring employees can balance work with personal life.

The Barista II role at Sodexo is designed for individuals passionate about high-quality beverage preparation and excellent customer service. Your role will not only highlight your skills in beverage creation but also your dedication to fair-trade principles.

In addition to beverage preparation, you will handle cash register operations including recording sales and processing payments through cash, credit cards, and electronic methods. Cleanliness and maintenance of the coffee machines, preparation areas, and overall café environment are vital components of the role to ensure a welcoming and hygienic setting for customers. Being punctual and reliable for your scheduled shifts will be crucial as well, along with flexibility to perform other duties as required by client needs or location specifics.

Sodexo highly values team-oriented individuals who contribute to nurturing a healthy and safe working environment. Experience in customer service, food preparation, sanitation, and inventory control will be beneficial. In some locations, Starbucks Barista certification may be a requirement, reflecting the company’s commitment to high standards in beverage service.

Working at Sodexo offers continuous learning opportunities, with access to training and development aimed at career advancement. Employees can expect a comprehensive benefits package that supports their wellbeing, including paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, retirement plans such as 401k, and various discount programs. Additional site-specific benefits may include free meals during shifts, uniforms, safety shoes, public transportation support, and parking options.

Sodexo’s culture emphasizes inclusion and respect, and the company is dedicated to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, religion, gender identity, or any other protected status. If you are seeking a role that is more than just a job—one that allows you to make meaningful impacts every day and be part of a diverse, supportive team—this Barista II position at Saint Michael’s College with Sodexo is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills and thrive in a rewarding environment.
