Sodexo is a global leader in quality-of-life services, dedicated to creating a better everyday experience for individuals and organizations around the world. Operating across multiple sectors including food services, facilities management, and integrated solutions, Sodexo prides itself on fostering environments where employees and customers alike feel valued, respected, and supported. With a commitment to social, economic, and environmental progress, Sodexo partners with numerous clients to deliver memorable experiences that enhance community well-being and promote sustainability. Their values emphasize fairness, respect, inclusivity, and the celebration of diversity, ensuring all team members can bring their authentic selves to work. Sodexo prides itself on equal employment opportunities and maintaining a culture that uplifts every employee, embracing culture and belonging as core company pillars.

The role of Barista II at Sodexo, based at Saint Michael's College, offers a full-time employment opportunity with a competitive pay range of $17.25 to $21.00 per hour. This position involves working weekday morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, with detailed scheduling discussed during the interview process. As a Barista II, you are not just serving beverages but participating in a craft that embodies quality and passion. This role requires creating hand-crafted, fair-trade champion beverages and quality food items, driving an enjoyable and impactful customer experience. Beyond beverage preparation, responsibilities include operating cash registers and maintaining pristine work and restaurant environments.

This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in team-oriented settings, value adaptability and reliability, and take pride in contributing to healthy and safe working environments. The Barista II role involves greeting customers with warmth, taking and processing orders, preparing a wide variety of hot and cold beverages — from coffee and espresso drinks to teas and blended fruit beverages — along with maintaining cleanliness in coffee machines, preparation areas, restrooms, and serving spaces.

Candidates with prior experience in customer service, food preparation, sanitation, and inventory control will find themselves well suited to this role, though training and advancement opportunities are provided to foster career growth. Some locations may require Starbucks Barista certification as an added qualification.

Working at Sodexo as a Barista II means joining a supportive and flexible workplace culture that values life’s important moments, provides access to continuous development opportunities, and offers a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include paid time off, medical, dental, vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401k, employee discount programs, and more. Some sites may also offer additional perks such as free shift meals, uniforms, safety shoes, and public transit or parking assistance.

Overall, Sodexo aims to provide a rewarding and stable career path where your contributions impact more than just day-to-day tasks but the overall quality of life for everyone involved. If you appreciate a role that mixes art, customer service, and teamwork in a purpose-driven environment, this position is an excellent choice.
