Job Description

Coach is a prestigious global fashion house established in New York in 1941, renowned for its commitment to creating beautiful, enduring products that empower individuals to express their authentic selves. Rooted in the creative vision of Stuart Vevers, Coach embodies the inclusive and courageous spirit of its hometown, New York City, blending heritage craftsmanship with modern innovation to deliver products that resonate on a personal level. As part of the Tapestry portfolio, Coach stands alongside other global brands dedicated to pushing the boundaries of possibility while fostering a culture of equity, inclusion, and diversity. This dedication to values shines through in every interaction, product, and experience offered by the brand.

Joining Coach means becoming part of a dynamic and forward-thinking environment where creativity and customer focus drive every decision. The Barista role at Coach is a unique position that combines the artistry of coffee making with the high standards of a luxury retail setting. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional customer experiences that not only meet but exceed expectations through warm engagement, deep product knowledge, and expert selling skills. Baristas at Coach are ambassadors of the brand, embodying its professionalism and enthusiasm while promoting beverages, food, and merchandise tailored to guest preferences.

The position demands operational excellence and collaboration, requiring proficiency in handling espresso machines, grinders, and ovens alongside a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. Working closely with team members, Baristas contribute to floor sets, replenishment, and merchandising to uphold the store's visual standards and overall ambiance. This role also offers a flexible work schedule to accommodate the rhythms of busy retail periods and public holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the industry.

Coach values a set of core competencies that inform its approach to work and team interactions, including courage, creativity, customer focus, adaptability, drive for results, interpersonal savvy, and learning agility. These competencies ensure that all employees, including Baristas, are equipped to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment while fostering positive relationships with colleagues and customers alike.

As part of the Tapestry family, Coach is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse workforce free from discrimination based on any legally protected characteristic. Employees are supported through comprehensive benefits and development programs designed to help them succeed both professionally and personally. The base pay for this role ranges from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, with the company ensuring compliance with all local and state wage regulations.

This Barista role offers a rewarding opportunity to engage with customers, enhance sales performance, and represent a globally respected brand. It is ideal for individuals with prior barista or café experience who possess strong organizational skills, customer service acumen, and the physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and navigating the store environment. Emphasizing teamwork and continuous learning, Coach invites motivated candidates to join a team where their contributions directly impact the quality of the customer experience and the store's success.
