Located at the Juve Family Behavioral Health Pavilion, the Barista I position at Sodexo offers a unique opportunity to join a team focused on providing excellent customer service through handcrafted beverages. This role can be full-time or part-time, offering flexibility to accommodate various schedules. The pay rate is set at $15.00 per hour, reflective of the value Sodexo places on skilled and dedicated employees.

As a Barista I, your primary responsibility is to deliver quick, friendly, and personalized service to guests. You will craft a variety of hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, and fruit blend drinks, always paying close attention to customer preferences and specifications. Beyond beverage preparation, you will manage customer relationships by promoting menu items and engaging in suggestive selling techniques, enhancing guests' overall experience.

The role demands maintaining an appealing and well-stocked coffee bar or cart, arranging supplies and cups in an attractive manner, and ensuring cleanliness of equipment and surrounding areas. You will also be responsible for following cash handling procedures, operating the cash register, and accurately recording sales. Physical requirements include extended periods of walking or standing during shifts that may exceed eight hours, and the ability to lift moderately heavy items, sometimes up to 50 pounds.
