As a Barista, you will be the first friendly face that our customers see and interact with, setting the tone for their experience in the bakery. You'll handle register duties, take and prepare food and drink orders, and assist with various food prep tasks such as whipping cream cheese and chopping vegetables. Becoming skilled in preparing espresso and coffee drinks following our store recipes will be vital, as is maintaining the cleanliness and organization of both the front-of-house and kitchen areas. You will help operate and restock coffee and espresso equipment and supplies, ensure food safety and sanitation procedures are strictly followed, and occasionally support the bakers to keep the bakery running efficiently. The role also involves opening and closing the store properly and securely and performing inventory checks. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to stand for extended periods
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and food handling
Must be able to operate cash register and handle payments
Willingness to follow food safety and sanitation procedures

Job Qualifications

Prior experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role preferred
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions
Ability to follow recipes and food safety guidelines
Team player with a positive attitude

Job Duties

Greet customers warmly and deliver friendly, efficient service
Run the register and handle food orders
Assist with food prep (whipping and scooping cream cheese, chopping vegetables, prepping bagels)
Prepare and serve espresso and coffee drinks following store recipes
Operate, clean, and restock espresso/coffee equipment and supplies
Restock coffee beans, milk, and bar supplies as needed
Support bakers as needed (teamwork makes the dream work!)
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby and kitchen area
Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
Help open or close the store properly and securely
Perform basic inventory counts and restocking tasks
