The Barista position at Morrison Healthcare is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about coffee craftsmanship and exceptional customer service. This role involves preparing and serving coffee and espresso drinks and related food and beverage items while ensuring strict adherence to HACCP food safety guidelines and quality standards. The Barista will have the important responsibility of interacting courteously with customers and other team members, ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere at the Piedmont Augusta location in Augusta, GA. Morrison Healthcare offers both full-time and part-time schedules, including mornings, evenings, holidays, and varying hours Monday through Friday. This position pays a fixed rate of $15.00 per hour and requires previous barista experience.
In this role, the Barista will expertly prepare espresso orders for both customers and catering using standard recipes and measures. They will accurately enter orders into the POS system, handle cash and charge payments, and maintain cleanliness and order in the service area, equipment, and workstation. The Barista is entrusted with ensuring proper food presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance while following food safety standards to deliver high-quality offerings. Customer interaction plays a vital role, as the Barista greets customers warmly, addresses their needs promptly, relays concerns to supervisors, and assists with menu explanations and sales techniques to enhance the customer experience. Job Duties
- Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes

- follows HACCP standards
- maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
- keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
- cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
- greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
- relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
- serves customers quickly and efficiently and prevents delays in serving lines
- demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
- serves as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process
- ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards
- serves food neatly and attractively per standard
- performs other duties as assigned
