Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior barista training and experience with manual espresso machines preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Basic math and POS operation skills
  • Availability for full-time or part-time schedules as specified
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Duties

  • Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • Enter orders accurately into POS device
  • accept cash and charge payments
  • Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • follow HACCP standards
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils
  • Greet customers courteously and interact in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Relay relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
  • Serve customers quickly and efficiently
  • Prevent delays in serving lines
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to customers
  • Serve as an advocate of selling techniques to customers by establishing good communication and assisting in buying decisions
  • Ensure all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards
  • Serve food neatly and attractively per standard
  • Perform other duties as assigned
