Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior barista experience preferred
ability to work full-time Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
ability to stand for extended periods
basic math skills for cash handling
excellent customer service orientation
ability to follow food safety guidelines
reliable transportation to and from work location

Job Qualifications

Prior barista experience preferred
ability to prepare coffee and espresso drinks accurately
familiarity with POS systems
knowledge of food safety and HACCP guidelines
strong customer service skills
ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
effective communication skills
ability to handle cash and charge transactions
teamwork and reliability

Job Duties

Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
enters orders accurately into POS device
accepts cash and charge payments
replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
follows HACCP standards
maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
greets customers courteously and interacts to ensure customer satisfaction
relays customer concerns to supervisors
serves customers quickly and efficiently
demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and explains them accurately
assists customers in buying decisions
ensures food is merchandised attractively and served neatly
performs other duties as assigned
