Eurest, a leading global foodservice company, is currently hiring full-time Barista positions at its 3M Cafe located at 2501 Hudson Road, Building 222 in Maplewood, Minnesota. At Eurest's 3M Cafe, the Barista role is essential to delivering a superior customer experience. This position involves making and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items, ensuring that all food handling complies with HACCP guidelines for quality and safety. The role demands friendly and courteous interaction with customers and fellow employees, emphasizing a dedication to customer satisfaction and efficient service. Working full-time Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, the Barista will manage multiple responsibilities including preparing espresso orders with precision, handling point-of-sale transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and orderly service area.

The Barista contributes to the overall success of Eurest by ensuring proper presentation and portion control, observing food safety standards, maintaining clean food service equipment, and assisting in merchandising display foods attractively. This position also requires the ability to communicate effectively about menu items and promote sales techniques to guide customer choices. With hourly pay ranging between $20.00 and $22.00, this opportunity is an excellent fit for candidates with at least one year of previous barista experience who are looking to work in a reputable and supportive environment.

Job Requirements

At least 1 year of barista experience required
ability to work full-time Monday through Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
enters orders accurately into POS device
accepts cash and charge payments
replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
follows HACCP standards
maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
serves customers quickly and efficiently, and prevents delays in serving lines
demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
serves as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process
ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards
serves food neatly and attractively per standard
performs other duties as assigned
