Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Availability to work Monday through Friday with varying hours
- Ability to adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Experience preferred in a similar Barista or foodservice role
- Ability to operate POS systems accurately
- Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in foodservice areas
- Basic math skills for handling payments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Makes and serves coffee and espresso drinks and related food and beverage items
- Handles food according to HACCP guidelines and standards for quality food-service operations
- Enters orders accurately into POS device and accepts cash and charge payments
- Replenishes condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- Maintains sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils
- Greets customers courteously, interacts to ensure satisfaction, and relays relevant concerns to supervisors
- Serves customers quickly and efficiently to prevent delays in serving lines
- Demonstrates understanding of menu items and explains them to customers
- Advocates selling techniques and assists in customer buying decisions
- Maintains attractive food displays per standards
- Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving
- Performs other duties as assigned
