The company is currently seeking an experienced Barista for its Auto-Owners Dining Center located in Lansing, MI. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm, offering a stable schedule with no nights or weekends, which is ideal for work-life balance. The Barista plays a critical role in maintaining smooth operations of the coffee shop while ensuring a positive environment that promotes fast, efficient, and friendly service. This role is instrumental in delivering a high-quality experience not just to customers but also to team members, reflecting the company’s dedication to excellent customer service and operational excellence.
In this role, the Barista is responsible for preparing and presenting food and beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards, showcasing attention to detail and consistency. Customer service is a core focus, where the Barista provides friendly and helpful service, proactively addressing potential customer needs before they become issues. This includes investigating and resolving customer incidents as they arise, documenting any occurrences to ensure ongoing quality management. The Barista also operates cash registers and related devices accurately, following strict cash handling procedures to maintain financial integrity.
In addition to day-to-day duties, the Barista is encouraged to stay informed about current trends in the coffee industry and to make suggestions that could improve operations and service delivery. This role combines customer interaction, product knowledge, and safety awareness to create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.
