We are currently seeking both full-time and part-time Barista positions available immediately at our Ascension Milwaukee facility. The Barista role is essential in delivering quality coffee and espresso beverages, as well as other food and beverage items, following strict food safety and quality standards. This position offers a pay range of $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, with schedules that include rotating weekends and variable day hours. The successful candidate will have prior barista experience preferred but not mandatory, as training and support will be extended. Responsibilities include preparing espresso orders according to standard recipes, accurately inputting orders into a point-of-sale system, handling payments, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the service area. The role requires adherence to HACCP guidelines in food handling and excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming and efficient experience for hospital patients, visitors, and staff.

Job Requirements

  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
  • Ability to stand and perform physical tasks during shifts

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • Enter orders accurately into POS device and accept cash and charge payments
  • Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
  • Greet customers courteously and interact to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Serve customers quickly and efficiently to prevent delays in serving lines
