The Barista role at Aramark is an exciting, fast-paced, and social position that offers unlimited career growth opportunities in a dynamic environment. As a full-time Barista, you will be an integral part of the team, responsible for preparing specialty drinks such as coffees, teas, and other beverages that meet Aramark's brand standards. Beyond drink preparation, this role involves assisting with food preparation, accurately handling customer orders and payments using a register or POS system, and providing exceptional customer service that creates memorable experiences. Baristas also maintain clean and sanitary workspaces, adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, and help manage inventory by stocking beverage coolers and service ware.
This role requires following company policies including cash handling procedures and dressing in accordance with the assigned dress code. The position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required. Food handling certification is also part of the role prerequisites. Job Duties
- Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions
- Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs
- Prepare and serve coffees, teas, specialty beverages per brand standards
- Prepare and serve food items in line with location standards
- Count, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip and make deposits
- Adhere to Aramark's cash handling policies and procedures
- Set up and breakdown coffee bar, stations or store including cleaning and sanitizing
- Maintain clean and sanitary work area
- Stock beverage coolers, grab and go items, service ware and condiments
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Other duties as assigned by management
