The Barista role at Rosewood Sand Hill is a full-time permanent position within the Food & Beverage Services department. This position offers an hourly pay range of $23.70 to $26.34, with compensation decisions influenced by factors such as relevant experience, prior luxury hotel exposure, and fine dining background. The successful candidate will be a passionate and service-driven individual with a strong commitment to coffee craftsmanship. They will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through the artful preparation of specialty and espresso-based beverages, underpinned by precision, warmth, and genuine hospitality.

This position demands a professional who is not only skilled in coffee preparation techniques but also excels in interpersonal communication and presentation. The Barista will be responsible for maintaining an organized and well-stocked station, ensuring seamless service delivery, and representing the brand with pride. Additional duties include performing inventory checks, supporting stock and cost management initiatives, and participating in team projects. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury or boutique hospitality setting
  • Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, flavor profiles, and brewing techniques
  • Fluent in English
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Professional demeanor with a commitment to excellence and attention to detail
  • California Food Handler Card preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Expertly prepare a variety of espresso-based and specialty beverages with consistency and artistry
  • Taste and calibrate espresso throughout service to ensure optimal flavor and quality
  • Maintain a well-stocked and organized station, ensuring all materials and supplies are readily available
  • Engage guests with genuine hospitality, offering thoughtful recommendations and sharing coffee knowledge to enhance their experience
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in all preparation and service areas
  • Serve food and beverages with grace and efficiency, ensuring a seamless guest experience
  • Conduct opening and closing inventory checks, assist with stock control, and support cost management initiatives
  • Perform assigned side work and contribute to team projects and operational tasks as needed
  • Represent the coffee shop and hotel brand with professionalism and pride, consistently delivering elevated guest service
