The Coffee Service Associate role at Angel of the Winds Casino Resort is a vital position that enhances the guest experience by providing quality beverages, whole bean coffee, and food products that meet the resort’s strict standards. The starting wage for this role is $17.15 per hour, reflecting the company's commitment to valuing its employees. Employees in this position are expected to reliably deliver beverage and food products consistently, adhering to set recipes and presentation standards while following health, safety, and sanitation guidelines rigorously. The role requires operating cash registers with accuracy, preparing and stocking work areas, and maintaining cleanliness to ensure an inviting and safe environment for guests. The Coffee Service Associate may be assigned to work at The Grind coffee stand or the Food Truck, depending on business needs, staffing levels, and special event demands. Flexibility is key, as associates may also assist in other food and beverage areas when needed. This position plays a crucial role in customer service by providing detailed information about coffee blends and preparation to guests, enhancing their overall experience.

Working at Angel of the Winds requires a professional, courteous, and customer-focused attitude. Associates must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as this facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The role also involves physical demands, including the occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 20 pounds, and consistent lifting of up to 10 pounds. Associates engage in repetitive movements and may work in confined spaces and varying temperatures caused by equipment and seasonal weather conditions. Exposure to tobacco smoke is also a routine aspect of this environment. Employees must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license and a Washington State Food Handler's Card to perform their duties. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Food Handler's Card

Job Qualifications

  • Exceptional guest service skills required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to maintain professional courteous and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts
  • Must be customer service oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Prior cash handling and point of sale experience desired

Job Duties

  • Provides quality beverages whole bean and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
  • Follows health safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
  • Operate cash register accurately
  • Prepare stock and clean work area
  • Provide customers with product details such as coffee blend and preparation descriptions
  • May be assigned to work at either the Food Truck or at The Grind coffee stand based on business needs staffing levels special events or operational demands
  • May assist other food and beverage areas as needed
  • Work nights weekends and holidays as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned
