Job Description
Lyric at RidgeGate is a dynamic and eclectic community developed by Shea Homes, located in the scenic South Metro Denver, Colorado area. This thoughtfully designed neighborhood blends natural surroundings with modern living, providing residents with numerous amenities such as a fitness center, coffee house, signature restaurant, swimming facilities, and inviting spaces for lounging and socializing. Lyric at RidgeGate prides itself on fostering a vibrant community atmosphere that encourages creativity, wellness, and connection among its members. The community combines high-quality residential living with access to convenience and leisure, making it an exceptional place for people seeking both a tranquil retreat and active lifestyle opportunities.
We are excited to offer an opportunity to become part of the Lyric at RidgeGate team as a Part-Time Barista. This role is geared toward individuals who enjoy delivering excellent customer service and have a passion for crafting high-quality coffee beverages. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $16.00 per hour plus tips, making it a rewarding opportunity for those with a love for coffee culture and guest interaction.
The Barista at Lyric at RidgeGate plays a vital role in enhancing the guest experience at our coffee house. Responsibilities include preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, such as espresso, lattes, and cappuccinos, all following standard recipes and preparation techniques to maintain consistent quality. This position reports to the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager and requires someone who is personable, energetic, and highly attentive to customer needs.
The Barista will greet guests warmly, build connections by providing detailed menu explanations, and make thoughtful beverage suggestions. Order taking requires careful attention to detail and consistency while preparing drinks, ensuring they meet the community’s high standards. Additionally, serving beverages both indoors and outdoors on the patio means the role includes engaging with guests in various settings, maintaining a friendly presence throughout.
A crucial aspect of this role involves handling monetary transactions accurately and responsibly, including cash and card payments. The Barista is also expected to contribute ideas for menu or service enhancements, maintain inventory by stocking coffee beans and other supplies, and ensure all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and operating safely. Reporting equipment issues promptly and upholding a safe and sanitary work environment are also important parts of this position.
Teamwork and communication are highly valued at Lyric at RidgeGate. The Barista will help train new team members and foster a supportive, cooperative atmosphere among colleagues. Having knowledge of the broader amenities and services within the resort is encouraged to help promote the community’s offerings to guests effectively. This part-time role requires a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends, in a fast-paced, customer-centric work environment.
As a part of J.F. Shea Co., Inc., Lyric at RidgeGate also offers benefits for team members working 30 or more hours weekly, including eligibility for medical, dental, and life insurance plans after 60 days of employment. Paid Time Off accrual, holiday pay, paid sick leave for part-time team members, and participation in the company 401(k) plan after 30 days of service are additional benefits that support the well-being and financial security of our employees. Lyric at RidgeGate is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment that values integrity, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence, making it a great place for individuals who want to contribute positively to guest experiences while pursuing a fulfilling career in hospitality.
