Job Description
Bluestar Resort & Golf, operating at The Canyons Castle Pines, is part of a premier master-planned community located just south of Denver, Colorado. The Canyons Castle Pines, introduced in Fall 2019, represents a substantial residential and recreational development under the esteemed Shea Homes Colorado team. The community features modern amenities and a welcoming atmosphere managed by Bluestar, which is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences within the resort and recreational hubs such as The Exchange. Bluestar Resort & Golf emphasizes quality, customer service, and a vibrant workplace culture, striving to create an environment where both guests and employees thrive.
The Barista position at The Canyons is a vital part of the Food & Beverage department, offered on a part-time basis with a competitive pay rate of $16.00 per hour plus tips. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about coffee culture and hospitality who seek to contribute in a fast-paced and client-focused setting. As a Barista, you will prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages including espresso, lattes, and cappuccinos, adhering to standardized recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
Reporting directly to the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, the Barista is entrusted with creating memorable guest experiences by being attentive, energetic, and knowledgeable about coffee drink offerings. The role requires active interaction with guests to understand their preferences, make suitable drink recommendations, and ensure timely and correct order delivery. In addition to beverage preparation, duties extend to handling transactions, maintaining inventory levels, and upholding cleanliness standards in the café environment. A commitment to operational excellence, including equipment maintenance and safety compliance, is essential.
The Canyons offers employees a supportive work environment that values teamwork, integrity, and respect. Team members, particularly those working 30 or more hours per week, benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and life insurance plans after 60 days of employment. Paid Time Off accrual and holiday benefits support work-life balance, while a 401(k) plan after 30 days of service encourages financial wellness. Part-time staff can also accrue paid sick leave per state laws. This position embodies a dynamic, customer-oriented role within one of Colorado’s most desirable communities, inviting candidates eager to grow professionally and contribute to a thriving hospitality environment.
