Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school education or equivalent
  • prior experience in a cafe or customer service environment preferred
  • availability to work at least 12 hours per week including some weekends and home football game days
  • ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to cafe operations
  • excellent customer service skills
  • proficiency with point-of-sale systems
  • adherence to health and safety regulations
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • dependable and punctual work ethic

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes
  • operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment efficiently and safely
  • greet customers, take orders, and provide friendly, courteous service
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including counters, machines, and utensils
  • restock supplies and inventory as needed to ensure smooth operations
  • accurately maintain inventory records according to procedure to include pricing product, check-in and transfers, and conducting periodic inventory counts
  • manage payment transactions and operate the point-of-sale system accurately
  • assist in opening and closing duties, including cleaning and setting up the cafe
  • educate customers about menu options and make recommendations based on their preferences
  • adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure food safety and hygiene standards
  • collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service and a positive customer experience
  • carry out Duck Store's customer service expectations through all work activities
  • support Duck Store and cafe team by completing other duties as assigned
